How to Apply for Voter ID Card Online & Offline
Online Process via NVSP Portal:

  • Step 1: Go to the official National Voters’ Services Portal (NVSP) or Voters Service Portal website.
  • Step 2: On the homepage, locate and click the ‘Sign-Up’ button at the top right corner.
  • Step 3: Provide your mobile number, email address, and captcha code, then click ‘Continue’.
  • Step 4: Fill in your First Name, Last Name, set a secure Password, and press ‘Request OTP’.
  • Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your mobile and email, then click ‘Verify’.
  • Step 6: Log in using your registered mobile number, password, captcha code, and secure OTP authentication.
  • Step 7: Once logged in, select the ‘Fill Form 6’ option under the ‘New registration for general electors’ section.
  • Step 8: Complete Form 6 by entering personal info, relative details, contact info, date of birth, address, and declaration.
  • Step 9: Upload necessary documents in the designated sections, review details via ‘Preview’, and click ‘Submit’.

Offline Process:

  • Step 1: Visit your nearest State Election Office or Booth Level Officer (BLO) and request Form 6.
  • Step 2: Fill in Form 6 completely and attach a passport-size photo along with supporting documents.
  • Step 3: Submit the completed application form at the Election Office.
