Educational Eligibility Criteria

PET Scorecard Requirement Candidates must have qualified the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) and hold a valid scorecard to appear in the shortlisting round.
Academic Qualification 1️⃣ B.Sc. Degree in Biology, Forensic Science, Physics, or Chemistry.
2️⃣ OR B.Tech Degree in a relevant engineering branch.
3️⃣ OR B.Sc. / ‘A’ Level Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized Institute/University.

UPSSSC Forensic Science Lab Selection Stages

The selection procedure consists of the following sequential stages:

  • Stage 1 – UP PET Shortlisting: Initial candidate shortlisting based on UP PET normalized scores.
  • Stage 2 – Mains Written Examination: Subject-specific objective competitive examination.
  • Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV): Verification of academic papers, PET scorecard, caste, and domicile certificates.
  • Stage 4 – Final Merit List: Merit publication based strictly on marks scored in the Mains Written Examination.
